2.Working Principle

For the shaft drum screen,after the drum motor reducer are connected together by coupling means, the drive roller means rotatable about its axis. When the material into the drum unit, due to the tilt and rotation of the drum unit, so that the material flip and scroll the screen surface, so that qualified materials through the discharge port at the bottom of the rear end of the drum is discharged, substandard materials (sieve product) by the end of discharge rollers discharge port. As the material within the drum flip, roll, so that the card material in the meshes can be ejected, to prevent clogging of the sieve.

For the shaftless drum screen,the motor drive pulley or sprocket gear roller, usually the slower speed, roller length can be longer, so that the material fully screened. Internal drum lifting plate may cause the material moves forward on the discharge end of the drum sieve material, sieve material discharge hopper along the drum income.

3.Application

Shaft drum screen generally used in a large proportion of granular materials, such as: sand, coal, limestone, fertilizer, compost, ore.

Shaftless drum screen always used in smaller proportion of materials, such as: garbage, wood, charcoal, compost, building materials, chemical products etc.

What is the Applicable Material for Drum Screen

Drum screen is a kind of cylinder revolving screening machinery that relies on gravity, its working principle is different with rotary vibrating sieve, linear vibrating screen, drum screen can generate strong exciting force, so if dealing with the proportion of lighter materials, it is not suitable for drum screen, the screen is easy to get blocked due to the irregular shape material, and the most important is the screening effect is bad, so what is the applicable material for drum screen?

 

Drum screen also is often used in mining, sand ,gravel industries, common screen mesh size can be larger than 5 mm, the smallest mesh size should larger than 3 mm, if the mesh size is smaller that is the wire mesh is small ,the service life will be shorter, besides, the drum screen doesn’t do a good job for on sieving fine material and the sieving efficiency is not very good.

 

Except for sandstone, drum screen is also more commonly used for granular material screening, such as: chemical fertilizer, ceramsite and so on. The sieving efficiency is good and easy to handle large-scale capacity.

client are finished production and ready for delivery.

  Our client is mainly dealing with building brick and curbstone production line, these
machines will be used for screening and conveying 8-10t/h dry sand with density of 1.4 t/m3, the working principle is as follows:
The dry sand will be transported to silo by forklift, and then the materials will be fed uniformly to 14m belt conveyor through a vibrating feeder. After that, the belt conveyor will convey the dry sand to drum screen with 1200m diameter. The dry sand will be delivered to next production stage by forklift after the screening process.
